Sessions Chapter 42 - COOP AND GEMMA AT HOTEL too long break rayne v2

Oceanside - The Palms

ScreenShot013

By the time Gemma tracked Cooper down at the Palms she was prickly, hot, and irritable. They stonewalled her at Hitman. Cooper wasn't there and the girl in reception had refused her repeated inquiries as to his whereabouts.

Sessions Chapter 41 - Thank You

the moment I let go of it was the moment
I got more than I could handle
the moment I jumped off of it
was the moment I touched down

Sandy Point - 11:30 AM

"Almost home," Jimmy remarked, glancing sideways at her as they stopped for the light near the Sandy Point bridge.  Rayne had slept through most of the trip.  The glass felt hot against her cheek, sunlight at its worst.  She fought with the hand crank and rolled down the window.  Her head ached.

"Ok," she said.

Sessions Chapter 35 - If Looks Could Kill

Sandy Point - The Rusty Pelican

S35-001

Slim watched the two of them, Gemma sitting at the table with her slender legs crossed, her body language enigmatic. She idly toyed with the long strands of her jet black hair while Coop sat at the opposite side of the table glaring at her. He steadily tapped the toe of his heavy boot against the chair leg, aggravated and on edge.

Focusing on her, Slim got into it. "I'm going to cut to the chase. We aren't giving you a blank check. Name your terms. What's the price for you to keep your mouth shut?""

Sessions Chapter 34 - Secrets

So tell me what you want to hear
Something that were like those years
Sick of all the insincere
So I'm gonna give all my secrets away

Sandy Point - Ed's Pier 7 PM

Rayne set her Fender next to stage along with Toad's. The lights sputtered and flashed and went dark and came back again, and Jimmy's attempts at some kind of sound check sputtered and flashed and went dark right along with the lighting. "Shit amps." Jimmy walked around looking at them, kicking cables aside. It was a stage crammed into one end of a pier set up for beach party music. Vince hadn't showed. Adrian was sulking. Jimmy was livid, deep into every freaking detail and finding fault with everything.

Sessions 16

The Crossing

Cooper paused outside the cafĂ© while Rayne described some concern she had over the Gibson he’d bought her. He had made reservations here a week ago, going out of his way to ensure she was available, taking the time to make sure the host understood he would be there and would do what they could do to give him some privacy.

Sessions 15

Ocean View

Everybody expects me to break
but I'll never break down again
Everybody expects me to give up
but you'll never see me giving in
Everybody wants me to lose
but I'll never lose who I am

Sessions 12 - Rayne and Ryan and Randi

And in this world
Where nothing else is true

Here I am

Still tangled up in you

I’m still tangled up in you

soundtrack: Tangled Up In You ~ Staind

South Beach - McDermott Residence, 6:12AM

When she thought about this later, she always wondered if she’d slept at all that night. If she had, it was in little broken pieces all scattered and messed up, but probably not. Probably not at all. Rayne sat up and carefully felt her way off the wide bed.

Sessions 6

The Crossing

“R & R sounds like a good name to me.” It was StageTown. Rayne knew where she was. Every club, every alley.

Miranda Lombardo, lRandi of the first of those 'R's'  walked beside her and pointed out, “It’s karaoke here. You don’t get to announce the name of your ‘band’, and we’re not a real band.”

"We practice, we sing and play in public, people are entertained. We need a name but we're a band even without one."
