Party at Rob's - Argument

ScreenShot003
Blade pulled Beth into a secluded corner near the pool, pressing her gently against the wall. Muted sounds from the rest of the guests confirmed they were out there alone. Sliding his hand along her side Blade cupped her breast while the other hand grazed her bare thigh as he slowly lifted the hem of her dress. Beth pulled him tight against her body, rocking her hips up into his, sliding her hands down his back, slipping them down into his jeans, finding skin, raking gently with her nails, her breath coming hard and then gasping, tried to push him away.
ScreenShot004
“What's wrong...shhh...hey come here, nobody's watching, trust me.” Taking her hardened nipple between his fingers Blade squeezed and twisted it, eliciting another gasp as he fumbled to unbutton his jeans and free his erection.
ScreenShot002
She leaned into him, reaching down, silking her fingers over him, a light skilled exploration, closing, tightening, both of them moving with it now finding the rhythm breathing into the heat, before she abruptly turned her face away, shuddering, pulling back. “Oh god...no...I can't, I can't do this someone might see us...”
ScreenShot001
Keeping his stance in front of her, struggling with a raging hard-on, not allowing her to move, Blade glared down at her and fought for control, controlling his voice, keeping it low, keeping it even. “This isn't about anybody watching us. You're doing the same damned thing you always do, you take it so far then you fucking shut down on me. Beth, I'm tired of this. What the hell do you think you're doing?”
ScreenShot005
"You don't understand, I can't do something like that to him again, I have to get out of here!" Beth shoved him hard, pushing back and using strength he hadn't known she had, determined and unexpected.

Moving in tight, Blade placed his hands on either side of her, trapping her against the wall. “No you don't...stop, stop NOW. Listen to me, are you listening to me?”
ScreenShot007
“Let go of me.” Beth’s eyes narrowed as she glared at him, breathing heavily from both anger and the heat that had been between them moments ago.

Throwing his hands in the air in frustration Blade moved back. “I'll let go. You want to know why? You're chasing a man who doesn't want a goddamned thing to do with you, you've got his damned pictures on your walls, you're doing everything but camping outside his house, and maybe you're doing that too. You know what you are? You're nothing but an obsessed woman stalking a fucking rock star. Hell no I don't want to hold onto you!”

Sessions Chapter 46

South Beach - West Harbor Place

Blade was late. The date had been casually arranged, whenever he finished at the studio, but whenever had a limit and he'd passed it by half an hour. Elise wandered from store to store and restlessly picked up and discarded sweaters, dolls, cheese graters, an 'as seen on tv' thing that steamed the wrinkles out of your clothes, a purple bed-in-a-bag, finally stopping to examine a tray of silver rings. She had done her Christmas shopping. She shouldn't be looking at rings and thinking about how they'd look on Cooper.

She shouldn't be doing a lot of things. She shouldn't be hunkering down with her laptop at 2 a.m. googling Cooper to find out what he was doing and who he was seeing. She shouldn't be waiting for another man who was late.

Sessions Chapter 45 - Itsy Bitsy Spider

The itsy bitsy spider climbed up the water spout
Down came the rain and washed the spider out
Out came the sun and dried up all the rain
And the itsy bitsy spider climbed up the spout again

South Beach: Brick Garden Park - 4 PM

Rafe once said if you wanted insight into the lives of the rich and famous, watch the mothers with their children at Brick Garden Park. One block off the bay and stacked with attractions to keep the kids busy, it offered enough privacy for adults to keep watch while they enjoyed more grown up distractions including a coffee shop and a discrete bar. Beth sat with a woman whom Gayl didn't recognize. They were both subdued, talking quietly while glancing over at the children in the near distance behind them.

Sessions Chapter 44

South Beach - The Harbor

Blade drew breath and listened to the voice on the other end. It was late morning, the ocean was calm and the skies were clear although in South Beach you never knew when a rain shower would breeze through. He stood on the deck, shirtless, wishing he’d had another cup of coffee before calling her.

Sessions Chapter 40

South Beach - The Harbor

Blade threw another bag of trash out the back, missing the pool by inches: a good thing since he hadn't found anything resembling a pool skimmer. Slamming through the door back into what passed for a living room, he glanced around it again. Nothing much more he could do to make it presentable.

Sessions Chapter 38

Here we stand
Somewhere in between this moment and the end
Will we bend?
Or will we open up and take this whole thing in?

South Beach - The Peninsula

Cooper awakened disoriented and exhausted. Dealing with Nate's arrogance, Eric's quiet defiance the previous night he'd struggled not to lose his failing patience. Hugs' wide eyed trepidation at the chaos along with the raging storm had prevented him from sleeping and it hadn't helped that the opposite side of the bed had been empty, a situation he intended to rectify soon. Enforcing his parental authority that morning, and that had been a lot harder than he expected, insisting the twins come directly home from school and scrambling to find Ericca to watch Hugs, Cooper headed downtown to meet with Elise.

Sessions Chapter 37

The Crossing

"Recalculating..."

Blade punched off the GPS and sat in his car and looked at the restaurant. It wasn't what he expected. Iron Gate, he'd thought that might be something private, some private club he'd have to crash, but it was just an Italian place on the bay with some kind of gate in the middle. She was here, that was the same car he'd shoved out of the mud, and he didn't see any other cars. Cooper wasn't here.

Sessions Chapter 36

South Beach - Coast Road

The first kick landed squarely on the door. The second didn't.  Elise shouted at the car as if it were to blame for sliding down the hill next to the bay.  She'd hydroplaned, run off the pavement and dug herself even deeper trying to get back on the road. And she'd dropped her cell. It was lying somewhere down there in the rocks and the heavy surf, and if she didn't rein in her temper, she'd be down there with it.

She'd known about the storm.  Storms weren't unusual this time of year.  She should have stayed home.  No, she should have driven a different way.  Or slower. Or something other than what she'd done.
